Last updated 3 years ago

Many people know that if they experience a crushing pain in the center of their chest, they should go to the hospital. But did you know that a heart attack can cause more subtle symptoms, such as nausea and lightheadedness? Sometimes, patients may not experience chest pain with a heart attack. Discomfort of the back, jaw, neck, stomach, and arms can occur instead of or in addition to chest pain.

You can learn more about the symptoms of a heart attack by watching this video. You’ll hear several patients’ stories about the symptoms they experienced that prompted them to seek emergency care at a community hospital.

Memorial Hospital of Tampa provides a comprehensive range of heart care services, including chest pain response and advanced diagnostic imaging. If you think you could be having a heart attack, please call 911; otherwise, contact our community hospital at (813) 873-6400.
